Les Nazis suédois ont commis plusieurs attaques contre nos camarades de la SAC, ces derniers temps... Nazi bomb attack on the house of Joe Hill 19 Jan 2004 De: "sekretariatet" <sekretariatet@sac.se> Three fire bombs (molotovs) were thrown at the House of Joe Hill in Gävle, Sweden, on Sunday morning January the 18th. In the building there are a Joe Hill Museum - the famous syndicalist singer and agitator was born here - and an office of the Swedish syndicalist trade union SAC. Miraculous the fire lied down and mostly caused damages from the smoke. The quarter of the city is an old part of Gävle and the most houses and buildings are made in wood and lies side by side. A real fire had made a catastrophy to the whole quarter in a couple of minutes. The nazi home page Info-14 has written about the attack and says it will come more attacks on syndicalists. And this is not the only nazi attack the last month. December the 20th windows were smashed at the Joe Hill House. The 21st of December nazis attacked a meeting at the office of Malmö Local Federation. A Union Banner was stolen. The 23rd windows were smashed at the office of Sandviken Local Federation, a small town close to Gävle City. The 25th windows were smashed at the office of Gothenburg Local Federation - and on New Years Eve the office was attacked by a firework, but the fire lied down and caused limited damages. Other parts of the Labour Movement have been attacked too, and besides this there have been threats and violence against people from the leftist movements. Most of the attacks are against syndicalist locals and the it seems to be a campaign against our Union from nazis close to the Björn Söderberg murderers. The Police do not take seriously on the threats from the Right Wing Extremists. The 6th of December up to 2.000 nazis and fascists marched in Salem, a suburban town to Stockholm. This was the biggest nazi-demonstration in Sweden since the World War II. The Police brutally attacked an antifascist demonstration on the same day and a lot of people were injured. Extreme Right Wing political parties had a break-through in the last election to the Parliament in September 2002. It looks like we all should be worried about the escalation of this Right Wing Extremist violence and terrorism. Lars Hammarberg General Secretary SAC - CENTRAL ORGANIZATION OF SWEDEN'S WORKERS |
